SMS Terms & Messaging Policy

GiftBeacon is a product of iPal Media LLC. These SMS Terms govern text message communications between you and iPal Media LLC, operating as GiftBeacon. By using the GiftBeacon SMS service, you agree to these terms in addition to our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

1. Program Description

GiftBeacon is an SMS-based AI gift concierge service. When you text the GiftBeacon number, you receive personalized gift recommendations, product links, and proactive reminders before birthdays and holidays. The service is conversational — you can ask questions, refine suggestions, and update information about people in your life by texting naturally.

2. How to Opt In (Consent)

You consent to receive text messages from GiftBeacon when you:

• Text START to the GiftBeacon phone number, or
• Initiate any conversation by texting the GiftBeacon number.

By opting in, you expressly consent to receive automated text messages from GiftBeacon, including gift recommendations, product links, birthday and holiday reminders, and service notifications. Consent to receive marketing messages is not a condition of purchasing any goods or services.

3. Message Frequency

Message frequency varies based on your usage and the number of people and dates you have saved with GiftBeacon. Generally:

• Conversational messages — sent in response to your texts; frequency is determined by how often you initiate conversations.
• Proactive reminders — approximately 2–4 messages per month, timed to upcoming birthdays or holidays you have shared with us. You will receive a reminder roughly 2 weeks before each occasion.
• Service notifications — occasional messages regarding important changes to the service or your data, sent as needed.

If you want to reduce the number of proactive messages, text “no reminders” and we will stop sending proactive birthday and holiday alerts while keeping conversational access active.

4. Message and Data Rates

Message and data rates may apply. Standard SMS and data rates charged by your wireless carrier will apply to messages sent to and received from GiftBeacon. iPal Media LLC does not charge a fee for the SMS service itself. Check your wireless plan for details on applicable rates. iPal Media LLC is not responsible for any charges incurred through your wireless carrier.

5. How to Opt Out (STOP)

You may opt out of GiftBeacon text messages at any time. To stop all messages:

After texting STOP, you will receive a single confirmation message and no further messages will be sent. You can resume the service at any time by texting START.

You may also request to stop messages by emailing privacy@ipalmedia.com. Please allow up to 3 business days for email opt-out requests to be processed.

Note: Opting out stops GiftBeacon messages but does not delete your stored data. To delete your data, see our Data Deletion page.

6. Help

If you need assistance with the GiftBeacon service, text HELP to the GiftBeacon number. You will receive a response with contact information and basic commands. You can also contact us at help@giftbeacon.ai for any product support inquiries, or privacy@ipalmedia.com for privacy-related matters.

7. Supported Carriers

GiftBeacon supports all major US wireless carriers, including but not limited to:

• AT&T
• T-Mobile
• Verizon
• Sprint
• Boost Mobile
• Cricket Wireless
• Metro by T-Mobile
• US Cellular
• Google Fi
• Mint Mobile

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Message delivery depends on carrier network availability. iPal Media LLC is not responsible for messages delayed or not delivered due to carrier issues, network outages, or factors outside our control.

8. Privacy and Data

We process your messages to extract structured information (names, interests, dates) and do not retain raw message content. Your data is encrypted with AES-256-GCM at rest. 9. Changes to SMS Terms

We may update these SMS Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via SMS to active users and reflected in the effective date above. Continued use of the service constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
